Now, if only someone could teach the senior musician how to use the Internet

Despite the Beatles resistance to digital distribution, Paul McCartney's previous label EMI/Capitol announced that he will in fact make his solo albums and Wings' releases finally available for digital download. This establishes McCartney as the first Beatle to offer his early period music online. The songwriter will offer his foray into being a solo musician, 1970's McCartney, through Wings' Band on the Run, including everything else from 1979 to 1984, and finally, his 2005 Grammy-nominated Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. Although, this announcement does not include the forthcoming Memory Almost Full, because it is being released on the new, Starbucks-backed label Hear Music. The date of availability has not be established yet but McCartney's previous label EMI/Capitol indicates that it will happen before the summer. —The ARTISTdirect
